Deepak Parekh is the non-executive chairman of Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC). He is a chartered accountant. He has won many awards including Businessman of the Year 1996, he was the youngest recipient of the Corporate Award for Lifetime Achievement by The Economic Times. Mr Parekh was awarded the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.
